Brad's been busy

Been playing:

Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles - The game is hard, very hard. I've come to a realization that old Castlevania games (this one came out in 1993) were difficult because the controls and movement were sluggish. I do enjoy the challenge of the game, but it takes quite some time to get used to the old style of play again. Nick, if you picked this up I have no doubt you find Rondo of Blood way too hard, but you don't have to beat the game to unlock SotN. It's only 3 stages in and you don't even have to beat that 3rd stage. Just look up how to unlock it because it will be totally worth it. You will also gain a lot of respect for Koji Igarashi since he basically made CV what it is today when he made SotN. I've been playing through SotN as well. I just love the game so much. They added a new playable character for SotN too. Just have to beat it once to unlock her.

Orange Box - I'm almost done with HL2: Episode 1. It's pretty great. You spend the game fighting along side Alyx Vance and it's amazing how well you become attached to this character. Valve revolutionized real time story development with the original Half Life and now it seems they are doing some really cool things with character development. Her AI is actually really awesome too. You will be surprised just how many time she will save your ass.

Final Fantasy Tactics - Yep, still the greatest game ever. Better now actually. The story is terrific.

Halo 3 - Beat it with David. Still don't get why the last few missions were so bad. There were some moments in the middle of the game that were pretty amazing. I just don't get it. Multiplayer is still really amazing and have been playing a ton of it lately. Bungie needs to stick with multiplayer only games.

Front Mission 1st - This was a SNES games and it still looks like one. If you can get past that you will find a great game that started a pretty amazing and underplayed series.

Jericho - Just kidding. This game got a 3/10 from 1up so I'm hoping to read Nick's impressions soon. Can it really be that bad?

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Haven't really played it in awhile. Nothing against it really, just been busy playing other games.

Demos Demos Demos - I had no idea you could download PSP demos off the net. I found this website that has a ton in both Japanese and English. The demo for the new Warhammer game actually seemed pretty cool. It's a pretty cool turn based (but not grid based) strategy game with destructable environments. Gurumin also surprised me a little since it ran rather smoothly for a PSP game and the animations looked nice.
